Manisa Factory
Manisa factory is one of the five production plants in the world that manufactures the Group's most important international strategic brand and is one of the most modern totally automated facility to be built from scratch. With all the international and local brands that are being produced in Manisa factory, Imperial Tobacco highlights its commitment to Turkish market and its growth potential in the region.
As of 2007 Imperial Tobacco Turkey has started an export production from Manisa factory to the following countries: Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Taiwan, Serbia, Iraq, Morocco and Lebanon.
The factory is built on an area of 60,000 m², with a closed area of 29,000 m². With a framework constructed of concrete and with prefabricated and steel elements in its structure, the production plant is totally automated.
The factory has been designed in complete compliance with Turkish and EU environmental legislation.
It is an integrated facility built around four main divisions:
- Raw material silos
- Production division
- Finished and semi-finished product storehouses
- Energy centre
Imperial Tobacco Turkey Manisa Factory has received, three significant international quality certificates including ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 in August 2006. Such an integrated certification is a first for the Imperial Tobacco Group and also stands out by the very short period of 10 months spent working for it, 6 months earlier than estimated.
